Description
Andre Gedalge (1885-1926) was a French composer and teacher. At the age of 28, he entered the Conservatoire de Paris and won the Deuxieme Prix de Rome that year for his cantata “La Vision de Saul”. He wrote “Traite de la Fugue” in 1901, and it is still widely considered the definitive exploration of the subject. No dust jacket. 350pp, free of marks.
